Newly enhanced app includes searchable audio, myESPN Favorite Teams integration, location-based functionality and more

ESPN unveils its newest and most personalized iPhone app to date with ESPN Radio 3.0, available now to current users via a free upgrade and for new users to download on iTunes for $2.99. The new version of the app, sponsored by 1-800-Flowers, continues to provide millions of ESPN Radio listeners access to live, crystal clear radio streams from over 20 ESPN Radio stations, fan-favorite shows like "Mike & Mike in the Morning," "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" and more, the latest "SportsCenter" updates every 20 minutes, popular podcasts like the BS Report with Bill Simmons, select play-by-play broadcasts including the BCS, live scores, newsfeeds, text messaging and call-in capabilities directly to ESPN Radio and ESPN affiliate stations.

New features and enhancements focused on personalization include:

myESPN: Customized audio of favorite teams will automatically be pulled into the app. This can be set up directly in the app or through ESPN.com.

My favorites: Users can create their own collection of favorite stations, shows and podcasts from both local and national shows.

Searchable audio: Users can search tens of thousands of audio clips by a specific topic (i.e., player, team, sport, league, etc.).

Audio on-demand functionality: Pause, rewind and fast-forward on-demand audio.

Social-media integrations: Share what users are listening to via Facebook and Twitter.

Podcasts: More than 40 ESPN Radio podcasts available, including the award-winning BS Report with Bill Simmons & Fantasy Focus, Pardon The Interruption, Around The Horn and Football Today.

Geo-location-based functionality: The app will know where you are and provide a list of the closest affiliates.

"SportsCenter" updates: Local and national 24/7 ESPN Radio "SportsCenter" updates every 20 minutes.

ESPN Local: News from ESPN's five local sites, including daily video "SportsCenter" updates from Chicago, Dallas, Boston, Los Angeles and New York.

Play-by-play broadcasts: Listen to select play-by-play in real-time for events like college basketball and the BCS

ESPN Bottom Line: The latest news and scores in the world of sports.

The app launches on the 10th anniversary of ESPNRadio.com, which in 2010 remained as the most listened to live stream of any terrestrial broadcaster in the world -- reaching more than 3 million unique users per month (source: Omniture) and 1 million unique listeners per month, more than double what it was the previous year (source: Ando Media). It was also the largest, most-listened-to talk format stream, both terrestrially and via Internet-only streaming, generating nearly 10 million total sessions per month, up 33 percent.
